Privacy and cookies
This page explains what YouVisited stores about you, who can see it, and the cookies we use.
What we store
- Your account: name, username, email address, a hashed password (or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google), bio, home country and profile photo.
- Your travel records: countries and cities you mark as visited, dates and notes, your bucket list, trips, journal entries and photos.
- Social activity: friends, friend requests, shared-trip invitations and notifications.
Photos are resized and stripped of embedded metadata, including GPS location, when you upload them.
Who can see it
You choose. Your profile can be public, visible to friends only, or private, and each trip and journal entry has its own visibility setting. Private and friends-only profiles are never shown to search engines. Your email address is never shown to other users.
